We are currently in a time where there are a significant number of fixed and discounted rate mortgage deals coming to an end.
This is alsa a time where interest rates are likely to remain moderately high for the foreseeable future.
This can therefore present problems for mortgage holders, especially if they are currently with lenders that only offer products that are known as “Broker Only”.
If you currently have a “Broker Only” mortgage you will need to seek the assistance of a Mortgage Broker to choose your next product when your discounted or fixed rate ends – as those lenders do not deal directly with Mortgage holders.
Sometimes we also meet clients who have lost touch with their Mortgage Broker – this can be for one of several of reasons. We also find that some Mortgage Advisers are only interested in new applications and not as interested in “Product Transfers” existing customers.
We also meet clients who check back five years later to find their Mortgage Broker is no longer practising and they may need someone to help them access the new products available with their lender.
